Diesel drag racing is a rising sport. The NHRDA is the official association for diesel racing. Diesel drag racing categories go from the Sportsman class to Top Diesel class. In the Sportsman class the truck has to have a time of 12.00 seconds or slower. The next class is the Super Diesel class to run in this class you have to run at least a 11.90 and there is no tire, weight or wheelbase limitations. The Super Street class requires for your truck to have a minimum weight of 5000lbs and all exhaust must exit up and away from the vehicle. The Pro street is next it has a minimum weight of 4500lbs also no tire limitations. All exhaust must exit up and away from the vehicle. The top class of the NHRDA is the Top Diesel class in this class there is no weight, tire, and wheel base limitations. The chassis must be certified for 8.49 or quicker.
